Frequently Asked Questions
What are your hours? VCC is open during regular business hours as well as evening and weekend hours, depending upon your needs. Keep in mind that VCC is only open when working with clients in session. In other words, we see clients by appointment only.
I need help now. How quickly can I see one of your therapists? Typically within two business days, sometimes sooner. Please call our main line: 805-791-9700 and leave a message. You can also email us at [email protected]. However, if you are having a medical or psychiatric emergency, please call 911.
Where are you located? Ventura Community Counseling is located at 260 Maple Court, Suite 228, in Ventura, CA. Our suite is located in the back of the building so it is best to park in the back parking lot.
Do you offer longer sessions? Yes. If it’s needed, we can offer a longer session, such as a 75 or 90 minute session. Your session rate may vary for longer appointments.
What if I need to cancel a session? We understand that occasionally you need to cancel your therapy session for a variety of reasons. However, we ask that you give us 24 hours notice. If you do not cancel within 24 hours, we will bill you in full for that session. We understand that true emergencies occasionally occur and that those take precedence, so we will not bill you under those circumstances.
Do you take insurance? VCC accepts Beacon Health Options, which includes Gold Coast Health Plan / Medical. We also accept Cigna, Aetna, United Healthcare, Oscar Health, Anthem Blue Cross of California, and Blue Shield of California.
If your insurance is not listed here, we may be able to work with your insurance, if it’s a plan with out-of-network benefits. Call our office to find out more. If none of these options work for you, we can also provide you with a superbill, which you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
If you have any other counseling or psychotherapy-related questions, please call us at 805-791-9700 or email our office at VCC @ VenturaCommunityCounseling.com. We’d be happy to answer any questions you have.
