Frequently Asked Questions
What are your hours? VCC is open during regular business hours as well as evening and weekend hours, depending upon your needs. Keep in mind that each Clinician schedules their own appointments with clients. In other words, we see clients by appointment only.
I need help now. How quickly can I see one of your therapists? Typically within two business days, sometimes sooner. Please call our main line: 805-791-9700 and leave a message. A VCC Clinician will return your call within one business day. You can also email us at VCC@VenturaCommunityCounseling.com
Where are you located? Ventura Community Counseling is located in downtown Ventura, on Palm Avenue between Main and Poli. We are located on the first floor of an old Victorian home. Our address is 73 N Palm Avenue, Suite F5. If you have an appointment with us, feel free to park in the parking lot behind our building in spot #5 – reserved for VCC clients.
Do your therapists offer longer sessions? Yes. Typically, for couples counseling we offer a longer session, such as a 75 or 90 minute session. Depending upon your needs, we can also offer a 75 or 90 minute session for individual therapy as well.
What if I need to cancel a session? We understand that occasionally you need to cancel your therapy session for a variety of reasons. However, we ask that you give us 24 hours notice. If you do not cancel within 24 hours, we will bill you in full for that session. We understand that true emergencies occasionally occur and that those take precedence, so we will not bill you under those circumstances.
Do you take insurance? At this time, we do not accept insurance. However, we can provide you with a superbill, which you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
If you have any other counseling or psychotherapy-related questions, please call us at 805-791-9700 or email our office at VCC@ VenturaCommunityCounseling.com. We’d be happy to answer any questions you have.
